THÈME : Tradition(s)
La tradition, un héritage du passé… Une pratique, une manière de penser ou d’agir qui se transmet de siècle en siècle et de génération en génération.
Les traditions marquent le passage du temps. Se répétant, elles rappellent le passé et nous invitent à participer à une mémoire commune. Avec ce concours, nous vous invitons à prendre un pas de côté pour donner à voir une tradition d’aujourd’hui, de demain ou en mutation…
Le jury : FLORENCE AT (photographe, auteur), KARL JOSEPH (Photographe documentaire et auteur), JACQUES SIERPINSKI (photographe spécialisé dans le voyage, l’architecture et la gastronomie), ALAIN CAUQUIL (dirige le Laboratoire Photographique Professionnel Photon) et CATHERINE BLANC (Conseillère métropolitaine de Toulouse Métropole et Conseillère municipale déléguée à la Mairie de Toulouse)
Les 10 photographies lauréates seront exposées au Muséum du mardi 8 septembre au dimanche 8 novembre.

Prises de vue - prises de bec, jouez avec l'expression au sens littéral ou non en nous plongeant dans la photographie naturaliste.

Les 10 photographies lauréates ont été exposées 5 semaines au Muséum du 6 mars au 13 avril 2018.
Les visiteurs ont voté pour leur coup de coeur parmi les dix. C'est la photographie "Le héron d'Esculape" de Jacques Guille qui a remporté le prix !

THEME: In the company of animals
Capture a moment when Man is in the company of animals. What kind of relationships are established? What kind of connections?
Photographs should be submitted with a title and a comment.
The assessment criteria will be based on the relevance and the originality of the scene, as well as the artistic quality of the image.

Theme:
Capture or produce a scene depicting a story about the natural world* from the 21st century which would arouse a visitor’s curiosity and interest.
Photographs should be submitted with a title and a comment.
The assessment criteria will be based on the relevance and the originality of the scene, the artistic quality and the story.
*Historically, stories about the natural world involved describing it, in its animal, plant and mineral forms. In the 21st century, stories about the natural world look at biodiversity, the history of species, the mineral world and the relationships between Man, Nature and the Environment.
Members of the panel of judges: Philippe Guionie (photographer and teacher at the ETPA (school of photography and game design)), Dominique Roux (Château d'Eau art gallery), Catherine Blanc (elected representative), and Williams Roblet (2015 award winner).

Theme: GROWING UP
To grow up in their natural and social environment, young animals must follow their instinct, have experiences, and transform themselves. They must learn to recognise their fellow creatures, and to identify their predators. They are also initiated in social codes and hunting techniques.
Capture one of these important moments in an animal’s life.

Members of the panel of judges: Mathieu Pujol and Corinne Rolland (animal photographers), Fabien Drougard (2013 award winner), Pierre Dalous (Curator at the Museum of Toulouse), Dominique Roux (Château d'Eau art gallery), Ingrid Coumes-Marquet (Espace St Cyprien-Photo workshops), and Catherine Blanc (elected representative).
The 10 award-winning photographs were exhibited for five weeks at the Museum of Toulouse. Visitors could vote for their favourite. Jean Rambouil’s photograph "En fratrie" won.

The 10 award-winning photographs were exhibited for three weeks at the Natural History Museum. The public voted for their favourite of the 10.
The first People’s Favourite award was awarded to Fabien Drougad for his photograph "Dans l'objectif d'un ours":

Theme: How do you see the Museum of Toulouse?
A photography day was organised at the Museum for those who wanted to experience this photography event together.
The competition unfolded on the Flickr group Souvenirs du Muséum. The photographs submitted can be (re)discovered here.
Eleven photographs were selected for exhibition over several weeks at the Museum. The general public who visited the exhibition at the Museum and online voted for their favourite.
The photograph by Laurent Hazard known as Alanobia attracted the attention of our visitors. Titled Héritage, the people’s favourite shows two children standing on planet Earth. The first is looking at the ground, the second is looking up at the sky (towards the future?). This image, charged with meaning, symbols and hope, charmed the public: it won 20% of the total 701 votes.
